Did you know that running an elementary school, like ours, costs more than $501,000 MONTHLY? Multiply that by 33 in Klein ISD, and you’ll see the numbers add up for our district quickly. That’s why it’s important our students show up to school every day, so that we can stay on top of costs across the district and keep our learning environment great. Families, please take advantage of our Plan Ahead Calendar: https://kisd.us/PlanAhead Attendance matters. #RightHereRollCall
Even when their desk sits empty, the overhead cost of running a school remains the same. The attendance-based funding structure leaves little room for leeway when it comes to keeping our schools open — the state only helps us when students show up every day. When funding decreases, the financial weight of running all of our schools is heavy. When a student is absent for a day in the classroom, the funding is absent, too. Plan to show up every day this year! #RightHereRollCall #AttendanceMatters

Dear Benignus Parents,
We will be honoring our nation's heroes with a breakfast and Veterans Day Ceremony on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 8:30am.
Students are invited to honor a family member who has served or is serving in the United States Military by inviting them to our ceremony.
You can also honor the Veterans close to you by having your child make a poster board with a picture and information about the Veteran. Your child needs to bring the poster to school by Monday, November 9 so that we can put them up for display around the school.
Please have your Veteran bring their driver's license and arrive at the school by 8:25 to check in. We look forward to honoring the brave individuals who have served our country. Thank you!
Please RSVP by Wednesday, Nov. 4th by returning the flyer in your child's Wednesday folder to school or by using the link below to fill out the form online.
