Benignus Elementary Awarded $7,700 Grant for ‘Party On, PBIS!’
KLEIN, TEXAS – Benignus Elementary received a Klein ISD Education Foundation (KEF) grant to bring experiences to the school’s positive behavior reinforcement program.
Benignus Elementary utilizes Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) across the campus to support students. Every student earns “Beni Bucks” from staff for showing the school’s core values: Showing respect, Positive attitude, Ownership, Teamwork, and Success (SPOTS).
The elementary school will use the $7,700 grant, sponsored by Campus Kids LLC, to provide new experiences for the Beni Cart, which students can purchase in lieu of a consumable item.
Through the Beni Buck system, teaching and learning goals include Math TEKS, such as calculating how money saved can accumulate into a larger amount over time and personal financial literacy standards that appear across multiple grade levels. Party On, PBIS! will involve and challenge students.
“We cannot wait to see this grant in action,” Klein Education Foundation Director Christy Spisak said. “We know what a difference it is going to make for the students at Benignus Elementary!”
This spring, the KEF Celebration Express distributed grants totaling $97,611. These grants will enrich the educational experiences of our student, supporting various innovative and engaging projects.
We sincerely thank all our grant sponsors who have made these initiatives possible. Your support plays a pivotal role in enhancing the educational journey of every Klein ISD student.
The Klein ISD Education Foundation accepts grant applications twice a year, encouraging, facilitating, and acknowledging creative projects that drive academic success for our Klein ISD students.
