I wanted to give you an overview of the art room this year.  The art room is now Choice based or Teaching for Artistic Behavior(TAB) studio.  

 

  • The students meet with me to start off art class.  They will learn about concepts and techniques and experience a short demonstration.

  • Then the students pick which studio they wish to work at.  

  • As the students are working they are creating artwork that builds skills, solves problems, and stretches their ability to think, create, reflect and share. 

  • At the beginning you will see lots of experimentation.  That’s exactly what they should be doing.  

  • The students will be fully engaged in art now because they get to choose what they are working on.  The conversations and problem solving that is going on is amazing!!
